Universitas Trunojoyo Madura (UTM) is a public university located on Jalan Raya Telang, Kamal, Bangkalan, East Java on the island of Madura, Indonesia. Universitas Trunojoyo Madura was originally a private university that officially became a public institution based on the Presidential Decree dated July 5, 2001. This university was officially inaugurated on July 23, 2001, by President Abdurrahman Wahid. Universitas Trunojoyo Madura is the seventh state university in East Java.
Universitas Trunojoyo Madura (UTM) was established in 2001 by Presidential Decree No. 85 of 2001. The university is named after a national hero, Trunojoyo, who is renowned for his struggle against Dutch colonialism in Madura.
